So Much to Do

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

And so many things to post! I have neglected my blog for nearly seven months now, and it's time to rectify the situation.

Life with four very young children at home has been a lot more hectic than I ever could have imagined. We got our seven-year-old off to her first day of second grade today, and our sweet five-year-old had kindergarten orientation. Starting tomorrow, I will have my mornings with only the two-year-old and the one-year-old. That being said, I should have more time to craft and blog.

My darling husband and I finally took our long-awaited honeymoon in June. After being together for ten years, married for eight, we took a one-week trip to England and France. We stayed in London with my best friend, Becca, and we had an absolute blast! We explored all of London, the Canterbury Cathedral, and Dover, England before crossing the English Channel to explore a tiny bit of France for the afternoon. It was certainly an amazing trip, and we're planning to return.

I have not been neglecting my scrapbooking during my online hiatus, so I will have a lot of layouts and projects to upload and share. I hope everyone reading this has a blessed day!

When Grammar Wins

Thursday, February 12, 2009

My inner critic finally got the best of me. It may seem like a small issue to some, but I had to edit the name of my blog to reflect proper punctuation rules. Call me picky, if you must.

Projects Coming Soon

Thursday, January 15, 2009

I am working on my first design for That's Scrap Inc, and I can't help laughing the whole time I'm working on it. When you see it, you'll know just why. The profits from the sale of this file/kit will benefit breast cancer research, inspired by a dear friend of Sherri's and many others. Her name is also Sherry, and she is a breast cancer survivor and a lovely woman.

The other projects I have in mind are definitely baby-themed. I know, what a surprise from a woman with four daughters under the age of seven. Keep an eye on out for them, as I'm getting closer to having them finished, too.

My 2009 Calendar

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Thanks to Rhonda from That's Scrap Inc, I have a fabulous 2009 calendar. She has the files for sale, and they cut so easily. I did replace a few images on October and November, but the rest are all still completely in tact. After cutting them on my Pazzles Inspiration, I glued them down with Scor-Tape and Ivy Hollow Glue. Then, I had to dress up every piece with Stickles, of course. It wouldn't be mine without glitter. :o)

Dustcovers

Monday, January 12, 2009

So, my newest craft venture is designing dustcovers. I have designed a pattern for the Pazzles Inspiration, the KNK Maxx, and the CraftROBO/Silhouette/Wishblade cutters. Currently, my Pazzles dustcovers are for purchase at That's Scrap Inc.

Please have a look and encourage your friends to have a look. In the near future, I will be taking orders for custom dustcovers, so please stay tuned for the details. At this point, I don't have plans to sell my patterns for private or commercial use. I will take it into consideration and get back to you.

There are two styles of dustcovers being offered currently: the Designer Series, above, and the Crafty Series, at left. The Designer Series is made from top-quality designer fabrics and piping with decorative stitching to finish the look. The Crafty Series is made from high-quality cotton fabrics, fully-lined, and finished with decorative stitching. Each cover is hand-crafted and test-fitted.

A Journey Begins

Welcome to my blog!

Since I have such varied craft loves, I have decided to start a blog to catalog my designs. Please return for a look at my scrapbooking, knitting, photographic, and sewing designs in the near future.

Thank you!
